How did patient hear about Lebanon Center for Rehabilitation and Healing? Hospital referral

Details of Experience:
Ms. Retha Copas came to Lebanon Center due to a spinal compression fracture from falling while at home and hitting her bathtub. Ms. Copas took a little while to warm up to the idea of coming to the community for help but soon warmed up to the idea. She first started out staying in bed in her room alone, but it was not long until therapy was about to get her up and going again with little to no help. When she was able to, Ms. Copas began joining in with activities and then began socializing with other residents. The patient states,” I feel good, the CNA’s have made me feel very comfortable.”

Ms. Copas was resistant to being transferred to any rehab. She has always been one to care for herself; however, she opened to the idea and with that…was able to get back to caring for herself. Ms.Copas stated,” the doctors told me I didn’t just fracture my back I crushed it.” However, this never slowed her down. She was relentless, and it was a pleasure to see her come from such a fragile state to caring for herself, once again. Ms. Copas has now been discharged home after thriving at Lebanon Center.

The entire team at Lebanon Center wishes her the absolute best.
